The Backstory

A single estate coffee from the eco-mill of Las Lajas, this organic Costa Rica is from the Chacon family farm. An eco-mill is the grower equivalent of a micro-roaster - it is a processing facility that allows the farm to convert the fruit of their coffee trees into green coffee beans ready for roasting. By being vertically integrated, the farm not only keeps more of the profits, they assure quality by avoiding the need to blend their beans with others from the region.

This certified organic is a big, bold cup profile - clean, with notes of fruit and honey, and complex as it cools. This coffee is absolutely among the best that Costa Rica has to offer.
