I finally caved. I was determined that we would stick with burr grinder offerings exclusively, and I still think that's the best choice if you can swing it. But in this economy, even I will acknowledge that a more economical offering is required in some circumstances. Blade grinding is still a far cry better than buying preground.

The Bodum C-Mill is a nice little grinder. Compact and powerful, it gets the job done. Easily grinds enough for a pot of standard drip brew or French press coffee. Cleanup is a breeze, too - just wipe it out occasionally with a paper towel.

The other thing this is great for is to gift to relatives that don't own grinders. This way when you go visit, you bring your beans, and you know there is a grinder in the house.
